AMAZING LOVE STORY AT PETIT LAFITTE HOTEL
Last October just after a week from shooting a wedding at Barceló Maya Grand Resort, I had the chance to know Petit Lafitte Hotel for Carmen and Fernando’s destination wedding in Riviera Maya, one of the most amazing wedding places in all the caribbean! Situated in the Heart of the Riviera Maya, just a few miles away from Playa del Carmen, Petit Lafitte is a picture-perfect tropical oasis making a wedding in Riviera Maya an ideal wedding destination venue.
I met Carmen and Fernando one year before, when they visited Riviera Maya after contacting me to do their pre wedding session. Carmen told me that she always wanted to come to Playa del Carmen because she loved ocean, and the cristal clear waters of mexican caribbean is something she always wanted to visit. I immediately felt a super strong connection with both of them and when they asked me if I would I would like to be their wedding photogaher next year, there was only one answer for me. Of course!
The couple chose to do their wedding in Riviera Maya out of many possible wedding locations. They knew they wanted a very intimate, small wedding in a beach destination setting. After debating between other possible beaches here in Mexico and other countries, they ultimately opted for an Beach Wedding at the Caribbean since it was easier for them and their friends to travel to from Mexico city and surrounded areas that they live.
Petit Lafitte Hotel was the place that the couple prepared for the wedding, while the ceremony, reception and dinner party took place at the beach. The ceremony took place at sunset on the beach with an amazing view around making this postcard scene come to life. A truly unique backdrop with a wondeful pop of color to the wedding venue!
After the ceremony, Carmen and Fernando celebrated an amazing and super fun barefoot wedding party on the white sand beach of the island surrounded by their closest family and friends. The hotel did a fantastic job in handling the reception and dinner and made this wedding a very memorable event. I really have to appreciate their effort on making this an amazing experience.
Shirley and Chris’ wedding in Petit Lafitte Hotel was a wonderful opportunity for me to create a long-lasting friendship and live an unforgettable experience. I want to thank the couple for having me on their special day and for making feel more than their wedding photographer. They treated me as part of the wedding party and I’m really looking forward to the next time we meet again!
