Getting ready at Barceló Maya grand Resort


Riley started her morning in Room 8605 surrounded by her bridesmaids, her mom, and her sisters — the kind of getting ready that feels more like a celebration than a preparation. Accessories, robes, laughter, the sequence of putting on a dress that only happens once. At 2 PM, her father was waiting outside the room for their first look — one of the frames from this wedding day that neither of them will forget.


Eric prepared separately with his groomsmen and his dad, the quieter, more contained energy that groom suites tend to carry. By 2:40 PM, Riley and Eric met for a first touch — hands through a door, vows read to each other before the ceremony, without seeing each other. A moment that was entirely theirs before the day became everyone else's too.

At 5 PM, with the February light still warm and the Caribbean completely calm, Riley walked down to meet Eric. The ceremony was intimate in feeling despite the fifty-two guests gathered around them. Post-ceremony portraits and cocktail hour


The drone went up immediately after the ceremony for the full group aerial shot — 52 people gathered on Captain Morgan beach, the ocean behind them, framed from above. From there, guest portraits by family, then the bridal party, then Riley and Eric alone on the beach for their couple session as the sun began its descent.


By 6:30 PM they joined their guests for cocktails — still on Captain Morgan beach, the water catching the last of the golden light. The kind of cocktail hour that reminds everyone why they flew to Mexico in the first place.
