How we work — and why it matters for your day.
Artistic Documentation Without the Staged Poses
Most wedding photography feels like a checklist. Show up, pose the couple, deliver the photos, move on to the next one. We built Luis Tovilla Wedding Storyteller around a different belief: that the moments worth keeping are the ones that happen when nobody is directing them.
Our no-posing philosophy means we move through your day without stopping it. We document what is already there — the way you look at each other before the ceremony, the chaos of the dance floor, the quiet moments between the big ones. The result is a gallery and a film that feel like your actual wedding day, not a recreation of it.
What every collection includes.
Regardless of which collection you choose, every couple we work with receives the same level of care, attention, and creative investment.
Timeline and logistics consultation.
Before your wedding, we build your timeline together — protecting the golden hour, planning around the best light at your venue, and making sure nothing gets rushed. You will know exactly how your day is going to flow before it starts.
Cinematic wedding film.
Available in 2, 5, 10, and 15-minute versions — plus raw footage options including the full ceremony, speeches, and first dance as they happened. Your film is edited to music that fits your day, not a generic track.
No-posing documentary coverage.
Luis and Génessis document your wedding day as it happens — real moments, genuine emotion, no forced poses. You never have to stop your day to take photos.
Full high-resolution gallery.
Your complete edited gallery — delivered through a private, secure online gallery. View, download, and share your full story. On a regular 8-hour wedding, most couples receive between 600 and 800 fully edited images.
The Grand Sneak Peek.
Within 72 hours of your wedding, you will receive a curated preview of 80 to 110 edited images — a first look at your story while the emotions are still fresh. Most couples share these before their honeymoon is over.
Artisanal post-production.
We edit every image and every frame ourselves. No outsourcing, no batch processing. Each gallery is curated by hand — which is why we limit our calendar to six weddings per month.

Common Questions & Peace of Mind
We are not models and feel awkward in front of the camera. Will you guide us?
That is exactly why couples choose our no-posing approach. We do not direct you into positions that feel foreign. We create a relaxed environment where you can simply be yourselves — and document what naturally happens. Most couples tell us they forgot we were even there. The photos look like them, not a rehearsed version of them.
Are you familiar with the light and venues in diferent pARTS OF MEXICO?

Absolutely. With over 250 weddings documented, we have a deep understanding of Mexico’s diverse environments. From mastering the intense tropical sun and turquoise reflections in Cancun and Costa Mujeres, to navigating the unique 'desert-meets-ocean' golden hour in Cabo and the lush, humid sunsets of Puerto Vallarta.
Whether you are marrying in a modern resort in Playa Mujeres, a secluded jungle villa in Tulum, or against the dramatic cliffs of the Pacific Coast, we know exactly how to use each location's specific light to create a sophisticated, editorial look that stays true to the natural vibe of the destination
How many weddings do you take per month? Will we get personalized attention?
To maintain our high standards of artistry and service, we strictly limit our bookings to 6 weddings per month. This exclusivity allows us to be fully present for your day and spend the necessary time on our artisanal, hand-crafted editing process for your final gallery.

When will we see our photos adn videos? We don't want to wait months for a preview.
We believe the magic should be shared while it's still fresh. That’s why we deliver a Grand Sneak Peek of 80 to 110 professional photos within just 5 days of your wedding. You’ll have a complete narrative to share with family and friends before you even finish your honeymoon.
Regarding the full wedding photo galleries and videos, You will receive the photos within 6 to 8 weeks after the wedding and the videos 5 to 6 weeks after the photos.
Do you offer both Photography and video ? How many photos we will recieve and the video lenght?
Yes. We offer seamless Photography and Video collections to ensure your visual legacy has a consistent aesthetic. Having a unified team means fewer cameras in your face and a more harmonious, 'No-Posing' experience throughout your entire wedding day in Cancun or the Riviera Maya.
Regarding the number of photos and video length, the number of photos depends on the number of hours covered, we don't have a maximum number of photos to deliver, we deliver all the pictures that we takes with the exception of the repeated ones, for example, on a regular 8 hour wedding coverage (the most common in this area), we deliver around 600-800 all edited photos.
The video length depends on your package, we offer different lengths of video: 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes and 15 minutes. Plus we also offer different "raw" videos like the full ceremony, full speeches or first dance as they come from the camera.
Our resort has an "Outside Vendor Fee." Is it worth paying to bring you in?
That is a fair question and we respect it. Here is our honest answer: your wedding photos and film are the only part of your wedding investment that grows in value over time. Everything else — the flowers, the cake, the open bar — is experienced once and remembered in fragments. The images and film are what you will actually watch and share for the rest of your lives.
Resort in-house photography teams often handle high volumes of weddings. You may not know exactly who is photographing your day until you arrive. With us, you know — it is Luis and Génessis, the same two people you spoke with on your Zoom call, at every wedding we document.
Whether the vendor fee is worth it is a decision only you can make. What we can tell you is that the couples who pay it consistently tell us it was one of the best decisions they made.
