April 3, 2025 · Costa Mujeres, México
Some weddings are elegant. Some are emotional. Some are a full celebration from the first toast to the last song. Jennifer and Vincent's wedding at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres was all three — and on one of the hottest days of the season, surrounded by 37 adults, 11 children, and three infants, it never once slowed down.
Getting ready.
Jennifer started her morning off-resort with the VO Beauty Truck — a detail that already said something about who she was as a bride. By noon she was back, settled into the bridal suite by 1pm, and in the middle of one of those getting-ready rooms that feels less like a preparation and more like a celebration already in progress. She gave bracelets to her nieces during the getting ready — a quiet, personal moment that set the tone for the kind of day this was going to be.
Vincent got ready in their hotel suite. Simple, calm, and completely unaware of what his pants were about to put him through.
The ceremony — surrounded by jungle.
The ceremony took place on the beach deck gazebo at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres — a space surrounded by tropical vegetation that creates a natural frame around the couple and keeps the light soft even on the brightest April afternoons. At 4pm, with the heat at its peak and the jungle holding everything still, Jennifer walked down the aisle with her brother.
There was no father of the bride moment — neither of them had their fathers present, and they had built a day that reflected exactly what their family actually looked like. Jennifer's brother gave her away. The vows were their own words. The first kiss was followed by a celebratory toast with every single guest.
Forty-five minutes. No special rituals. Nothing manufactured. Just two people who were completely, obviously in love — and a room full of people who already knew it.
The pants incident.
At some point between the ceremony and the cocktail hour, during bridal party photoshoot, Vincent's pants decided they were done for the day. The details of exactly what happened are between him, Jennifer, and anyone who was standing nearby — but what matters is that he handled it, nobody stopped celebrating, and it became one of those stories that will be retold at every anniversary dinner for the next thirty years.
Cocktail hour at Eclipse Bar.
The cocktail hour ran from 5pm to 6pm at the Eclipse Bar — and Jennifer spent a significant portion of it behind the bar, personally serving shots to her guests. Not as a bit. Not as a planned moment. Just because that is who she is, and because the bar was right there, and because why wouldn't you.
The energy in that hour was exactly what a cocktail hour is supposed to be — relaxed, warm, everyone already laughing, the formality of the ceremony completely dissolved. The chemistry between Jennifer and Vincent was the kind that makes an entire room feel it.
The reception at Poseidon Terrace.
By 7pm the party had moved to the Poseidon Terrace — where a "Take A Shot, Take A Seat" welcome sign at the entrance told every guest exactly what kind of night this was going to be.
The bridal party entered first. Then Jennifer and Vincent — through dry fireworks that lit up the entrance and announced them the way they deserved to be announced. Dinner, speeches from the bridesmaids as a group and the groomsmen as a group, a cake cutting, a first dance, a groom and mother dance, a bride and mother dance, a bouquet toss, and then — at 8:40pm — the dance floor opened.
The churro cart arrived at 9pm. Because of course it did.
DJ Temo ran the music all night, and the transition Jennifer had described in her questionnaire — slow and romantic building into upbeat and fun — is exactly what happened. Not because it was scripted, but because that is genuinely who they are as a couple. The romantic part came naturally. The party part came even more naturally.
